The Once and Future

The world is a weeping mirror
I witnessed stringed marionettes blossoming into a fragile genesis
Sea of shadows I ventured in that fractured vastness
Madonna of the shadow zones, this is your radiant dream of Being
From the spilt chalice of dawn, first fires gild the adamantine night
Abandoned to storms, I roamed an abyss of cyclones
The mysteries of Being! Every terror of eveningtide bleeds red with me
Like the nucleus of dark pearls, Desire has a brutal and extravagant beauty
Seductive reveries in midnight cities, you resurrect me into being
Dispossessed of the Earth, the seraphim scream into voids
Woman, seraph, it’s a trapdoor terror at the womb of the world
Our moon moves on her black barge through interstellar seas

The blindness! of Being! I am that existence in errancy
My chaos sun you have brutality of the burning one
On ambrosial shores, succor from the golden blood of gods

In the debris of night your once and future king is ferrying light
Like clouded Charon my soundless usher you bear me to dark harbors

The disquiets! of genesis! I imitate the gazes of gleaming blades
Arcadia is a nightmare of stillness I choose this life and its wilderness
The once and future king returns to fallen empires of graves
Like the wandering winds I vanished, choosing a new name
