In the beginning
God made the fragile oblivions 
I was burning with sunrise 
Desire burning this wasteland in me

I fire-sacrifice of this light genesis
Alchemist of sunlight you watched me rise and rise
There was darkness over the face of the deep—
I remembered your eyes like blue heaven and the darkness was breached—
To survive impossible disquiets in the midnights I crossed those fields of obsidian
One last act of selfishness
One last act of decadence
Heaven was blue and Hell a furnace of heat

Dreaming of dark Edens
