Oblivion
Bonjour tristesse, the darkness never rests. In the anvil of night, I am entwined with desire, that dark divinity. The promontory tremors to bear witness to me. Desire the berserker beast, I had a dream you annihilated me. I need you like a needle to the neck. The benedictions of this punishing life! Radiant nails are driven through my fingertips, I witness the infinite. Desire turns its myriad knives inside of me. My mind from grief fissured when desire like a serpent at my neck whispered as if it were need. Surely there are angels wrestling in the weeds. Bear me Cain to the dark lands from where I came. I stand on shores of coals, O roads of sorrow, the Earth subjects me. Even my descents start to seem calculated to me, even the stars are manacled to black galaxies—pray, what mercy awaits me? Desire burned like anguish in me. Incarnadine seas part to meet me, the starless darkness reaches with the fingertips of a giant, I witness the infinite. I forced flames down my burning throat, and the apocalypse rose. How I love my sorrows. Swallow me, gorge of God. I waited for salvation in the darkness of dawn and then I wandered on.
