Rhapsody

I don’t know how to enjoy, oh I only long to be destroyed by the golden morning. To be forever young! Locusts ascending from serpent gutters in dusk which like a river vein runs. Desire my deity in the depths of eternal evening you rise to meet me. I quiver with need, bear me to bright Elysium, burning eternity. I live for annihilation at your lips—yes give me sweet death again. You! lure! me! to the light! When I'm trapped between your knees, the siren seas of desire call me to drowning. Let me sleep below the darkness at your feet. My seraphim in the sheets, your absence screams inside of me, my soul burns with rhapsodies. I follow the fires, eddies of sunlight at my skin, I witness the infinite. Eros, the rope at my throat. I need, I need! It was like gravity to me in the evenings. Desire burned its treacheries in me. I rolled myself into the stillness of oblivion. I had to escape— the wasting decades— Eve before Revelation, my desires burned with the radiance of grief. I will not shrink from this life. In the hieratic wilderness of night, I am pulverized by desire. The skies are diamantine, I witness the infinite, witness me, blushing sunrise, for the blessing of the end, darkness daybreak, for desire I die like Lazarus from ash and ascend again.
