Sorrowing

Did the raided stars weep for you upon witnessing your griefs? The manacles of desire! Seasons of slaughter, sweet sorrowing, I am shackled at your knees. Desire—this annihilating knife turning inside me. First disobedience, I perish from the blessings of your lips, I witness the infinite. The vastness ravishes me. Gods roam like a bounty of storms in search of bones. I weathered those hells alone, my face pressed across cold cobblestone. In agony Eros, in agony, I am yours. The wager! of desire! Castaway at the reaper Earth’s end, I’m at the edge of desire again. In anguish I cherish, so crush me desire, I survive paradise’s exile. My heart beats as the sorrows serenade me. In the euphoria of clouds, I had an absorbing dream: I gaze into the leaden eyes! on the severed heads of mine enemies! Desire burned like anguish in me. I said drown in my throat, and your god of terror Eros rose. To the starless darkness I am chained and claimed until you call my name, your slave before dayspring. You had me like a marionette on strings and yes at your bidding I sing and sing. Desire burned like anguish in me, and I went riven to receive.
