The Radiances

“Verweile doch, du bist so schön”
the gardens of Paradise burn—

I was burning with desire from summer to spring
when storming eternity witnessed me

from dust to dust, the brief radiance that awaited us!
you were swallowed up by a rapture of clouds
witness the burning western plains, how we feared the Earth her shining radiances

the sacred dark has its stakes in me, the horizons were vanishing
you who birthed my corpse, consort of the stars, I was seeking oasis in your arms
bear me from Earth to the land of dreams by mockingbird spring
the radiances! of the weightless angels!
you were orphaned by the rolling storms
this is the labyrinth of the divine
in the curtained night before the stars of opaline
you flock to god, possessed by dreams
this is your vital fire, my heartbeat in the darkness
I witnessed the radiances of desire—
slaughter in the sickle fields, where light bleeds vermillion
I live on the edge of desires again, surviving on visions of the divine
blinded by the curtain of night
this is your vital fire, my heartbeat in the darkness
