Transfiguration

“‘Is that what you wanted? Well, that is what you got.””
— The Book of Promethea, Hélène Cixous

Everything I run from is rushing back to me. In a crucible, the summer sun survives. Desire burned like revelation in me. I want. On va voir. Devour me oh beloved. I chose another torture road, I realized the vastness of the void in my soul. Ages ago I died, and this is the afterlife. You had me in penitence for being alive. Beneath the graveyard of stars, I wandered far. Who wants affection without agony? The decades, you tarnish me. The beginning was anguish and so the end, and the decades restart again. Desire possessed me like death, I had to forget, I had to forget. Like a sacrificial lamb at the altar of a dream. The devotions are devouring. Adorn me with a transfiguring terror. Desire for the distances possessed me. Oh I loved, I loved, the blight, the blight of oblivion. To die a bride of desire— the decades, you varnish me. I thought I had closed the coveting eyes of a beast when desire possessed me. On va voir. I loved, I loved to oblivion. Why did I resist diminishment? I loved, I loved, it was a fiction.Walking the streets, I was weightless with grief, I was weightless with greed. I fear some bright eternity desires me. In the twilight, desire transfigured me. The adamantine galaxies witnessed me dreaming. Ruin of a siren ,like I was a bride of desire! What will you do if your bloodlines end with me? On the verge of annihilation, again I arrive at agony. Carry my carcass to the torture roads. On va voir. I starve in a great darkness, the void devours me. Your god of Genesis witnessed me in ecstasy. The dark ritual: I pretend to desire you. Eve eats and screams. I weep to dream. Desire is defiance desire is blindness. I must exorcise you from my memories. Who am in the immaculate dark? Who am I that thou say thou art? Desire burned like devastation in me. I don’t know what to want. Awakening in the dark radiance of paradise, I walk towards my annihilation. The weeping earth said dream and so I dream— of transfiguration.
