Extinction

Lacrimae, the evening seas listen to my griefs. Lacrimosal stars in black pastures send their tears to starving earth. How I envy the errant. At the altar of your arms, chained to desire, I wilt in the extincting light. Fires at the furious horizons, I witness the infinite. That goliath, desire. I devour more and more. House of bones, I’m a corpse by noon. Mortar on the grounds. In devotion to you do I destroy myself. Scimitars of sunlight slicing my wrists. Desire, lilting siren of oblivion, you drive me to extinction with yearning. Summer’s smothering blossoms in my hungry mortal mouth. Oh god I devour and devour in the wound of hours. Free me from desire, viper and vanquisher of Eden. Fires along the cruciform power lines. Metamorphosis, I exist by the whisper of wings. Like heartbeats in the evenings.
